Faceparty bans over 36
Well, this was news to me. Did you all know that those over the age of 36 are the one’s most likely to be sexual predators? I don’t recall reading any study that shows this.
However, swinger site Faceparty has now deleted profiles of those over the age of 36. Why? I’m not really sure. They claim that the UK government forced them to. But, that same government has taken a Don’t Look stance on this issue. You would think, after doing something to aid “the children” Wait…to sign up for FaceParty, you have to be 18. So, why the fuck is it a problem? These people are “adults”, therefore have the ability to go “hey Mike, I’m meeting this person I met on this website. I’ll call at 5, 6, and 8. If I call, and I mention my birds, then somethings wrong.” That’s just standard operating procedure for most people meeting someone for a blind date. Why should it be different for meeting someone from a website? That whole “safe” thing? No where, and I do mean no where, do I find anything saying, as FaceParty claims on one of the FAQs. Hell, everything I’m finding shows that this “law” hasn’t been passed, and nowhere in the “law” does it state that the age is 36. This is just something I’m having lots of issues with. Why? Simple, it’s against most laws. Most Western countries have laws against barring someone due to being over a certain age. Which means, that by those laws, FaceParty’s admins and owners are now criminals. It goes against “civil rights”. Now, I believe that a group of people have a right to deny anyone access that they feel they don’t want, even if it’s by race/gender/sexual orientation or preference/what the fuck ever. However, due to laws on the books, people do have logical civil suits that can be brought forward. If FaceParty wants to be party of the Young and Pretty crowd, so be it. Put that in your terms of service. Something like “We need proof of age, and a picture. If you are not pretty enough, we will deny you membership”. Don’t just delete accounts because you want to. Well, you can, but….nevermind.
